What's up, pussycat?

Just sitting here thinking about my first blog post. What to share? What to write? It's easier to work on my next novel as I know where it's going, but this is scarier than that! I'm not sure what you might be interested in. Maybe I'll start with the two books (actually three, but one is on the shelf for now) I'm currently working on.

One is my children's book - The Mysterious Door. I have decided to revamp it and bring it up to date in 2022. It's also now a middle grade book. In it Ollie (who has been renamed) and Emma are brother and sister instead of BFF's. Emma has just started high school and Ollie is a little older. Emma is having trouble with a mean girl at school and doesn't know how to solve her problem. They still find a door in a tree at the back of their home and still enter another world to meet some fascinating creatures and learn some lessons. Hopefully, it will be out be the end of the year.

Second, I'm working on a full fantasy novel with witches and faeries. Starting out at summer's solstice it takes place on an imaginary island in Lake Simcoe. It's not a part of my Lake Scugog Mystery series and I hope you will enjoy my dip into the paranormal romance genre. I plan to release it for next summer's solstice.
